1 Corinthians 1:22-24

²² For the Jews require a sign, the Greeks seek after wisdom, and Western Christians after gaps: ²³ But we preach Christ crucified: unto the Jews, a stumbling-block; unto the Greeks, foolishness; and unto Westerners, a mystery and a paradox; ²⁴ But unto them that are called, whether Jews or Greeks or Occidentals, Christ: the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
